Returning to Our Roots: Growing Connections with Nature and Community

  • Oxbow Park Corbett, OR, 97080 United States (map)

Join Your Nature Network and Metro for a restorative wellness event designed to support the health and well-being of BIPOC individuals. This event is an opportunity to nurture your wellness, connect with community, and embrace self-care in a supportive environment. Participants will have the opportunity to engage in the activities below. Registration is required. Please register below to save your spot.

Day Of Event Information:

 Location:
We’ll be meeting at the Dragonfly Shelter, located at the far end of Oxbow Regional Park, just before the boat launch. Please allow 15 minutes to drive from the park entrance to the shelter.

 Parking:

Please do not purchase a parking permit. I will have permits available when you arrive! Check-in with me at the shelter, and I will give you your permit to place in your car.

 Sound Bath:
After introductions, we’ll begin with a 10 minute seated sound bath. If you prefer not to sit on a blanket on the ground, feel free to bring your own chair. Alternatively, email me in advance and I’ll have a chair ready for you.

 Snacks + Hydration:
A variety of snacks will be available to accommodate all dietary needs. Please remember to bring a water bottle to stay hydrated.

What to Wear: The forecast calls for sun and fun, so please dress in something comfortable and make sure to wear athletic shoes. Our hike will total 1 mile and has approximately 80 feet of elevation gain. While there is no swimming on the agenda, if you'd like to swim in the river during or after the event, please bring a suit and towel!

 Arrival Time:
Please arrive at the Dragonfly Shelter no later than 11:15 AM.

 Transportation Support:
If you indicated a need for transportation and have not replied to my outreach attempts, please contact me as soon as possible so we can coordinate. I can provide Lyft or Uber gift cards to support your travel.

Last Minute Communication: We'll be in the woods y'all! There is very limited cell reception inside the park. I can be reached day day-of via email until 9 AM. Please make sure you ask any questions in advance!
