Join us for a powerful community ritual to honor our grief and rage about immigration violence, reconnect with our bodies, and reimagine what's possible. Through somatic grounding, meditation, altar-making, and expressive art with clay and collage, we’ll create space to feel, heal, and share.
This event is for BIPOC community members, 18 and older. All feelings welcome.
The event will be hosted at Columbia Park in NE Portland. Event begins at 6 PM. To help us with the community altar, please bring something small that is special to you- it could be a family photo, a pet related item, a rock, candle- whatever is significant. This altar will be temporary.
To help us prepare for the event, we ask that you register in advance. Register below. Planning on bringing someone along? Please register them as well.
How to find us at Columbia Park:
We will meet at Picnic Area F, near Russet street. Picnic Area F is located across from the tennis courts, on the other side of the baseball fields. Please bring any snacks or drinks to enjoy while you’re here. During our meditation and sound bath, we will be gathering on the grass. You can bring a chair, blanket, or anything you need to feel comfortable while seated.
