Monthly Oaks Bottom Walk

  • Sellwood Park Portland, OR, 97202 United States (map)

On select Sundays, we gather for a gentle walk at Oaks Bottom Wildlife Refuge. This is a slow, accessible outing focused on noticing the season as it changes. We will meet at the same spot, the parking lot in Sellwood park. Please use this location, as multiple entrances to the refuge exist.

We’ll walk at an easy pace along flat paths, pausing to listen for birds, notice water and plant life, and spend a little time being outside together. February’s theme is Feeling It in Our Bodies. Many of us are carrying anger, fear, grief, and exhaustion about the state of America and the world. We will be prompted with some gentle exercises, letting our bodies be part of how we process this difficult time.
